Will my past legal issues affect my family's application for the DTV visa in Thailand?

Hi all, here goes.

My wife is planning to apply for the DTV. I understand them I would need to apply and our kids also.

I think there is a speed bump in our way.

2 years ago I had a run in with the law. I fulfilled all my obligations to that issue and all of that.

Because of this, did I ruin my family’s chance at doing this?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The questioner is concerned about their family's application for the DTV visa due to a past legal issue from two years ago. Community responses clarify that no police checks are required for this visa unless the crime occurred in Thailand or the individual is on an international watch list. Additionally, they mention that dependents do not need to apply if the principal applicant can handle the application on their own.

There is no requirement for dependents to apply. If your wife is able to apply on her own merit then she can also apply for the kids.

They don’t do police checks. Unless your crime was in Thailand, and you were blacklisted, or you’re on some interpol list, you should be fine.

Was your legal program in Thailand? Or elsewhere? That might do a difference, as they don't request records from abroad.

No police checks are required for this visa as far as I know
