Hello all,
Was hoping for some advice. I am on a 12 month education visa but my course length is only 6 months. I will do my first 90 day check next week, but my school seem to think they will end my visa early as the visa is longer than my length of studies, and the school had to provide all this information before I got my ed visa. Obviously I would rather my visa continued to next July as it says in my passport, and not end in January when my course finishes. Anyone had experience with this? I am quite optimisitic as it says July 2019 on my visa they will allow it.
Thanks!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about the validity of their 12-month education visa against their 6-month course duration. They hope to keep their visa valid until the expiration date stated in their passport, despite the school's indication of an early termination. Various comments clarify that the visa remains valid until the date in the passport, and discussions surrounding the distinction between a visa and an extension of stay are highlighted. The user learns they can perform border runs to extend their stay despite the course's end.
