I'm on a Thai language education visa -6months- at the moment, expiring end of March. I'm planning to go back to Germany mid May. Could I keep the ED visa until March and then switch back to amnesty or 60 day extension for the remainder of my time here until May, or do I have to extend this ED visa for another 6months? Thanks so much for your help

First off you need to understand there is NO amnesty anymore. That ran out at the end of Oct. There ARE 60 day covid extensions though. BUT the ability to get one runs out on Jan 29th (next Friday). <- meaning that's the last day right now you can apply for a 60 day covid extension.

So my advice is, IF you're on an ED visa extension and you wanna stay past the time this current extension runs out if you're still studying get documentation from the school and get another ED extension.

They will give 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19, however, the last day they are selling them is January 29.
