Do I need an entry stamp in my passport to apply for a DTV visa in Thailand if I used an e-gate?

Hi everyone,

I'm about to apply for DTV. I'm in South Africa but didn't get an entry stamp into my passport as I used an e-gate to scan my passport. Is that a problem?

No where does it say you need an entry stamp in your passport. If this concerns ways to prove your current location, then there are plenty of other options to use.

Are you a local? Or a foreigner? If they need something else, they'll ask.

Have decided to go in on visa exempt and take the next 3 months gathering online work proof. Will come back to Cape Town in December and apply for DTV then.
