I applied for my DTV for April 2026. Will it automatically be rejected just because of the three months? I'm surprised they would allow you to enter a later date, but then cancel and charge you the 350€ just because it was >3 months from the application date...
I recently applied and haven't heard back. Do you think I have any chances of asking to push the date forward (change of plans) if I call the consulate?
I applied through Spain

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about the implications of applying for a DTV visa for April 2026, specifically whether the >3 month timeframe will lead to automatic rejection and if there is a possibility to expedite the application by contacting the consulate. Comments indicate uncertainty, with suggestions that the application might not be processed until closer to the actual date or may experience significant delays.
Either they'll cancel it, or they'll process it in January. But thai systems aren't really reliable, so they might just delay it and then forget about it.
Based on what I've noticed in the group they won't cancel it. They'll just backlog it until closer to the date. So you won't hear from them anytime soon.
