Do London always process the DTV before the flight date?
I'm due to fly out on the 1st January and my application is still stuck at Pending - Awaiting Document Approval.
I applied on December 1st and have tried to email and message throughFacebook but received no response. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The processing of the DTV (Digital Tourist Visa) before your flight date is not guaranteed and largely depends on the embassy's workload. Several commenters shared their experiences reflecting that delays are common, especially in high season or during holiday closures like the New Year. If your visa is not approved before your flight, it is suggested you could enter Thailand on a visa-exempt entry and activate your DTV later by leaving and re-entering the country.
apparently they can cancel the visa if you dont stay in the country of the application. I've had to cancel the flight for now and await their update

It's high season so might come might not come, but can arrive when you are in the country. Then it's just do a border run after 60 days to activate your dtv. If you have to much entries and got adviced to get a visa, maybe look into a safe entry?
we had retirement visas approved yesterday, think application went in on 16th
