TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is faced with a situation where their DTV visa application is pending and they have a flight to Thailand shortly. Responses highlight a range of opinions: some advise not to enter Thailand while the application is being processed due to possible visa complications and risks of being blacklisted, while others suggest that it is possible to enter on a visa exemption and wait for the DTV approval in Thailand, then re-enter with the DTV once issued. The consensus seems to recommend caution and staying in the jurisdiction of the embassy until the application is complete, to avoid the risk of losing the application.
When did you apply and after how many days they asked you for the additional document?

You should change your flight and remain where you are until the visa process completes

I applied in Cambodia and my application was taking longer than usual to process. The Thai embassy in Cambodia advised me it’s fine to enter Thailand on a visa exemption, wait for my DTV, and then re-enter Thailand on the DTV.
It’s not ideal, but life happens. Good luck.

Never enter Thailand while your DTV is in the process, as long as you intend to obtaining it, they could take back from you and put you on the black list, it’s illegal to obtaining the visa while you’re in Thailand, look in YouTube for similar stories

Dont worry they don't care much. I also travelled to Thailand and my DTV visa was still in progress. When it was approved just leave Thailand and return.

Usually they ask for proof of location at the beginning of the process. As soon as you handed in and have enough financial assets, you don't need to worry.

Anonymous participant 402 "They don't care too much" in your case maybe. Some got cancelled, interviewed or asked for location proves. That's not for everyone but it happens often. Embassies websites mention you should stay in the country of application. It's never a great idea to offer opportunities for immigration to make some extra 💸. They have your entry history and date of visa issuance.

They can cancel your application, request an interview or documents proving your location. You better stay where you are.

You risk losing your application if they find out. Some have successfully done this but others have not. I personally would not risk it and would stay in the jurisdiction of the embassy I applied. Choose wisely and good luck.
