Do Thai embassies wait until close to the flight date to issue DTV visas?

Hi , I applied for a DTV visa through the London Embassy last week via the soft power route. The next day the embassy responded asking for my booked flight confirmation. I booked a flight dated the 31/10/25 and uploaded the confirmation to the e visa site. The next day the status of my application changed to processing pending approval. It has now been a week since the last update and the status of my application has remained the same. Do the embassy wait until it's close to your flight date before issuing the visa?

No. I got mine in 48 hours. Chase them up if you don't get approval by 22nd. Good luck.
