Can I travel to Thailand while my DTV visa is still being processed?
Hello, I applied for Thai DTV visa. After two weeks I was asked for additional documents which I submitted and it has been about two weeks since I submitted additional documents that I haven’t heard anything. My question is since I already booked my ticket, is it ok to travel to Thailand while my DTV visa is processing? Of course I will leave Thailand and re-enter if my DTV is approved to activate it. But I am not sure if this is ok or it might get my DTV application rejected.
Answer summary
The community advises against traveling to Thailand while your DTV visa application is still under review. There is a risk that your application could be rejected if immigration authorities require additional information or interviews upon your arrival. It's recommended to wait for the visa to be issued before traveling, and seeking updates from the embassy can also be beneficial.

Stay where you applied for the DTV visa UNTIL it's issued or not.

Email the embassy explaining your situation and ask for an update

At that stage, they still may ask for a proof of location and an interview. Best is to stay where you are until final confirmation.

Where did you apply?

Simple answer is no. If after you arrive in thailand, they ask for interview or photos of each passport page; your application will be rejected. Wait it out mate. It’s been a long holiday, so there will be some delays. Have patience, will be worth it.
