TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is asking about the requirements for obtaining a proof of residence from the immigration office while staying at a hotel, which they need to open a bank account in Thailand. Several comments provide guidance, including the fact that a Certificate of Residence is generally given after at least one 90-day report is completed. However, there are instances mentioned where it might be possible to receive documentation without the 90-day report, suggesting that updating the address at the hotel could suffice. Additionally, users indicate that some banks may allow account openings with just a passport.

Immigration at Bangkok will only give you a Certificate of Residence to those who have completed at least one 90 day report at their location just so you know. I am not sure if you are in this category or not.
