Hi all

So correct me if I’m wrong. I now don’t need to quarantine for 7 days only one day while waiting for results of test. Starting November 1

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires if quarantine requirements will be reduced to one day while awaiting test results in Thailand starting November 1. Comments reflect mixed opinions, suggesting that while the idea is theoretically supported, there are concerns about the efficiency of the testing and result process in Thailand, with past experiences varying significantly. Users recommend staying updated on official news as the situation remains fluid.

We arrived last week and received our test results within a few hours of checking in at the hotel. We were then free to roam about the island. I commend the administration in Phuket for a stress free experience. Much is in flux in terms of timing and there will be kinks to work out with the new Thailand Pass system vs. the current COE. I agree that you should monitor the news and much is in flux. Best of luck to you.

that is in the sandbox (island ) not mainland Thailand.

Roaming around after 2 hrs and u have to be double vaxxed.

The new rules are for unvaxxed too.

It may be just luck, but everyone worked just fine when I got here. I think there will be kinks to work out with the new system, but remaining optimistic as we want to have a few family members joins us for the holidays

The only real difference I can see in the new Thailand pass that instead of the COE you get a QR code which you then show the people when you land instead of handing over the paperwork.

I don’t know what the requirements will be for your local consulate to issue the pass, but I suspect it will focus on your vaccination status and intended time you want to spend here. It would be good of there was an integrated QR code system as right now we had to load a separate app for daily temp checks with the hotel. Not a big deal, but one stop shopping is easier.

app will remain the same, this is Thailand almost all the online stuff for immigration is not working bit much to ask for that.

My Singapore track and trace has all that vaccination status, tests done but not here.

I completed sandbox 3 weeks ago

The way Thailand is, I'm pretty sure getting your results will get messed up and you'll be stuck in a hotel. Sadly Thailand app or online systems are trash. The amount of people who will be coming over the next 2-3 months is going to really mess up any Thai system they put in place.
