TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about leaving Thailand on the same day their visa expires and possible fines. Comments suggest that a one-day overstay may incur a fine but often is waived, although it could result in a red stamp in the passport. It's recommended to ensure departure before midnight to avoid complications in the future.

If you can get stamped before midnight I advise that. If you ever wanna come back to Thailand. An overstay does not look good in a passport

can book visa run through most agencies to drive you to Cambodia you will get stamped out Thailand walk over a bridge to Cambodia immigration get stamped in Cambodia stamped out Cambodia walk across bridge again and restamped into Thailand for 60 days then you can extend it for 30 at local immigration can only do this by land twice tho, then need to fly out and re enter when I’ve done that I’ve only ever done overnight stay but people advise to stay a few days

the 2 times by land per annum no longer applies. Land entries are now treated in the same way as air entries but be aware they are cracking down on this behaviour

This is for August and September, taking into account that it looks like going back to 30 days, not 60 , I’m Australian

No overstay fine for one day (it does apply but it gets waived). You do get a red stamp in your passport though.

Maybe, when departure is really early in the morning 2nd, you can pass imm. the first before midnight to prevent anything 🤷‍♂️
