Can my British friend do a border run in Thailand for an extended stay after her 60 days visa-free entry?

My best friend (British) is staying with me whilst I do my internship in Thailand 🥳. I know she can stay 60 days visa free and apply for a 30 day extension but how likely is she to get another 90days in Thailand? Can she just do a border run and go through the same process again? (60 day visa free entry+ another extension)

How likely would it be to get rejected (she’s never been in Thailand before ☺️)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the options available for a British friend staying in Thailand on a visa-free entry. She can initially stay for 60 days and is eligible for a 30-day extension. The discussion suggests she can perform a border run to extend her stay again, receiving another 60 days followed by another extension. Most commenters agree this is feasible, especially if she uses a border bounce agency to ensure smooth entry and exit. However, there's a caution about potentially needing to spend some time outside Thailand during the border run to avoid any issues with re-entry. Applying for a multi-entry visa requires her to do so from her home country, which isn't possible while in Thailand.

I have no experience with visa border run so just repeating what everyone else says. Just want to answer to promote experience so she gets good advice

Just tell her to apply for the multi entry visa

@Us ****
you cannot apply for a multi entry tourist visa inside Thailand. She would need to apply for this visa in her home country

Use the one that leaves Lotus's in On Nut at 4.30am every day

Most likely no issues, but if you want to guarantee no issues and for convenience, use a land border bounce agency to drive her to the border and back. It's all done in the same day and usually costs around 4000 baht or so.

She can. And can do a border bounce for another 60+30. Use a border bounce agency to ensure entry

I recommend this as well, easy experience cost effective to at 4k thb , and guarantees re-entry using the service rather then take a risk doing it yourself and being denied.
