It is time for my annual marriage extension renewal. I am eligible to apply on May 17. I am aware that there is a one month “ under consideration” stamp while the paperwork goes to Bangkok. My US passport expires on June 11 of 2023. My question is this, will immigration grant me the extension if I apply in May and my passport expires in June of next year?
Many thanks, Evan🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the renewal process for their marriage extension visa in Thailand, specifically regarding the implications of their US passport expiring in June 2023, shortly after they apply in May. Responses confirm that the extension will be granted without issues, as long as the passport is valid at the time of application.
Yes they would grant you the extension. Were it that your passport expired prior to May ‘23 then you’d only get the extension up until the date your passport were to expire.
