Plan to get a Covid extension when ED visa finish.
I have noticed my passport will expire on 27 December 2021. It is less then 6 month from a date of application for Covid extension (19 July) .
I have appointment in Russian Consulate to apply for new passport on 9 July only. It will take up to 3 month to get a new passport.
Could you please advise - will I have a trouble to get a Covid extension on 19 July (with passport expired in less then 6 month).
If so - what could I do?
Are there any cases when IO deny to stamp a Covid extension in passport expired after less then 6 monthes?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a Russian expat living in Phuket, seeks advice on whether they will encounter difficulties obtaining a Covid extension for their ED visa, considering their passport is set to expire shortly after the application date. A comment in response clarifies that there is no mandatory requirement for the passport to be valid for six months prior to applying for the extension; rather, it must be valid for the duration of the extension period being requested.
There is NO requirement that your passport be valid for 6 months to get an extension
you need to have the passport valid for the length of the extension you're getting. SO seeing as you're going to apply for a 60 day covid extension you're fine
