Hello, I got my 3 months Non-B business visa from Savannakhet Jan2020, and also a work permit afterward inside of Thailand.

in April I need to go immigration to get an extension but in my passport left only 10 months, will it make a problem.

the embassy does not allow renewing passport with more than 6 months left.

Portugal citizenship.

Thank you for your answer.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the implications of having only 10 months left on their passport while seeking an extension for their Non-B business visa in Thailand. They express concern due to embassy rules about renewing passports with less than 6 months remaining. Comments suggest that extensions can be processed without issue, as long as the new passport is provided, and that extensions typically align with the passport's validity.

You get the Extension of Stay with the same permitted up to date as the valid until date of the passport.
Ellie *******
Usually you get extension until same day to your passport validation if it’s earlier than 1 year.

I got mine when I had 8 months left on it.
Robert *******
You did not get permission to stay with an end date later than your valid until date of your passport.

No problem, once you get a new passport the non B will be transferred to the new one. Immigration will do it for you as your embassy will give you letter to show the immigration office.

Nan, Thailand. It’s not an extension. Simply my non b for one year was transferred to new passport.

Which immigration office? You really get 1year extension applied inside country with passport validation less than 1 year? Or get 1 year visa outside Thailand then got your entry stamp transferred?
