Hello, Iโm Giuseppe, Iโm Italian and I have a question for you please.
My passport will expire on Sep 17, 2024.
My NON IMM multi entry permit extension is valid until Mar 29, 2024.
Since my passport will be valid less than 6 months (just 8 days) from the date of my extension of stay, do you think I will face a problem?
I'm in Italy, I could renew my passport now, even if it's more than 1 year away from expiration, but I'd be sorry.
Thanks for your advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Giuseppe, an Italian expat, inquires about potential issues stemming from his passport expiring shortly after his NON IMM multi entry visa extension. As his current passport expires on September 17, 2024, and his visa extension is valid until March 29, 2024, he wonders if this will pose a problem. Community responses clarify that as long as he renews his passport before his next extension application, he should not face issues entering or exiting Thailand.
There wouldn't be any issue for you to leave/enter Thailand.
If you apply for your extension in March 2024 with your current passport, your extension is until Sep 17, 2024. It cannot be longer your passport validity. If you get a new passport after March 2024 after you apply for your next extension with your current passport, and apply for a new yearly extension, it will be starting Sep 18, 2024, for a year.
People usually get a new passport in advance to be able to get a whole-year extension. In your case, before March 2024.
thanks, everything it's clear. Now I'm struggling with the Italian authorities because in my city, Milan, there are no vacancies to renew my passport until October 30th and I have to go back to Thailand before that date. Oh my God... ๐ค
