Dear All, I am planning a week long trip to KL from bkk then return, try to apply the Thai pass ahead of time, and I realize there is no more field for Thai covid insurance, my question would be 1.) would bkk airport imigration upon arrival check the insurance policy? Or I can print out my currently annual/general medical insurance ( int'l coverage), would just do the trick?! 2.) On thai pass validity, aka within 72 hours +/_ from originally approved date if arrival should be okay!? How about airport of arrival DMK vs BKK ( Incase of change of arrival points from Thaipass ...) Or have been be exact as applied. TIA
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user's inquiry revolves around their upcoming trip from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur and back, specifically regarding the Thai Pass and insurance requirements. They asked if BKK airport immigration would check for a COVID insurance policy upon arrival, and whether their general travel insurance would suffice. Additionally, they wanted clarification on the validity period of the Thai Pass and how the airport of arrival (DMK vs BKK) may affect their entry. Responses indicate that immigration typically does not check insurance policies if the Thai Pass is approved, and general international travel insurance is usually acceptable. The Thai Pass validity can vary, and users noted that airlines are more likely to scrutinize documents before departure.
