Do I need additional Covid insurance for my Thailand Pass if I have World Nomads insurance?

Question about Covid insurance:

I signed up for regular World Nomads insurance which does not have specific Covid insurance (not specifically mentioned in docs), but includes it in its broad coverage (and I confirmed this via email).

I was approved with this insurance for the Thailand Pass without an issue. I just found out, however, that we need to present these documents at immigration as well, and might need additional Covid coverage. Could someone please confirm whether this is the case? My flight leaves in ~a week and I’m wondering if I should sign up for Axa to be safe.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about whether their World Nomads insurance, which broadly includes Covid coverage, would suffice for the Thailand Pass and subsequent immigration requirements. They were approved for the Thailand Pass but now need clarity on whether additional Covid insurance is necessary. Comments suggest that if the Thailand Pass was approved, immigration may not challenge the insurance. However, there are concerns about potential coverage gaps with World Nomads, particularly for hospital or hotel quarantine in the event of a positive Covid test.

I havent checked in some time but previously I read that World Nomads will not cover you for hospital or hotel quarentine if you test positive without symptoms. If still true you could end up with a big sirprise bill. Something ti check.

, right. Better safe than sorry. If you test positive w no symptons, Nomad Safty Wing will not cover expenses of quarantine which will be very expensive

If the Thaipass was approved then you're fine. Immigration shouldn't question your insurance coverage as long as you have it.

thanks! So it recommend or necessary to have a printed copy in case? Because those policies are like 30 pages

Everything should be printed, airline needs to see it too. Just print the page with your name and coverage amount on it.

you really think a thai immigration officer would bother reading your insurance contract in English?
