Hello, Iโm returning to Thailand after two years of covid after being told to leave because of wrong visa and Thailand was in early covid lockdown . I owed phone company 800 baht but shops were closed for payment in lockdown when I left,do you think that will affect my new visa application because of not paying bill? Hard to explain with online visa? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user expressed concern about an unpaid phone bill of 800 baht from two years ago affecting their new visa application for Thailand after returning post-covid lockdown. Community responses highlighted that such a minor debt is unlikely to impact visa approval, encouraging the user to pay the bill online if worried. Overall, the general consensus is that the debt is not significant enough to influence immigration status.

The company should have to obtain a court order for the debt - which is unlikely due to the small amount - and for them to apply for you to be placed on a banned list seems a cosmic overkill, even if they could. I hope you will enter the country, honour your obligation, and make good.
ok thanks everyone for the cheeky little answers and what seemed a stupid question. I just got a scam email after I applied and it sounded like they wanted further information so I got a bit paranoid. Looks like I might not be jailed for life on arrival.

Troll like Simon should be perma-banned from this group. There are so many threads already and he's polluting with his idiotic non-sense while cracking some "death on arrival" joke which further proves that his post was a troll.
How many accounts do you have? Ofc visa application have nothing to do with a local shop phone bill. There you go, I answered the troll.

Ok Iโll relax about it and see what happens first with visa approval.

No. But if it worries you so much ,pay the bill online before applying online for visa... you have no one you know in Thailand that can pay it for you??

So you're asking if an 800 baht phone bill will affect your visa application? Really?
