TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has lost their passport in Bangkok and has reported it, obtaining a police report and applying for an emergency passport to return to the UK. They are seeking advice on whether they can travel internally in Thailand to Krabi and Koh Samui using their emergency passport along with a UK driving license. Comments indicate that an emergency passport along with the police report should suffice for check-in for domestic flights, and carrying a photo ID and the police report as backup is advisable. It's also recommended to check with the airline and keep the UK Embassy contact handy.

You probably can get away with your Drivers License and the any paperwork from the embassy saying you're on an emergency document. They are very relaxed here.

I regularly fly with my Thai Driver's License, so I know passports are not a requirement.

As suggested get confirmation from the UK Embassy. But also check with your airline for the internal travel requirements.

ETD plus Police Loss report and other photo ID. Copies of emails from Airline Customer services etc.

Shouldn't be a problem if all prepared, but the last place you want any problems is the departure gate.

7P's....Have a back up for a back up...this is Thailand. 🙂

Take the police report just in case as backup. But there should not be an issue with emergency passport. But do suggest you have UK Embassy number in phone. This is Thailand and sometimes you need a backup dor the backup. But you will be fine.
