Overstay question

I had a work permit and an agent throughout the WP process. Year 2 of WP, I had to go to Chamchuri Square on my own for the 90-day reporting (agent stopped holding my hand). I mixed up the reporting deadline dates and overstayed one day. Went the following day, paid the 2000 baht fine and everything was fine from then on (yes, I got the black mark in my passport, but have since renewed my passport and it's not in the new passport).

Would this affect my DTV application?

You should be okay 👍.

That’s not overstay. That’s a late 90 day report.

strange that they charged him for 1 day overstay/gave him a black mark as you can do a 90 day report 2 weeks before and 1 week after the due date??

it’s not overstay. Overstay is when you stay in the country longer than the stamp you received when you arrived allows.

90 day reporting is done whilst in the country having stayed more than 90 consecutive days. You could be on a yearly extension, not have to leave the country at all, be late for your 90 day report (outside the window of opportunity you described) and get the ฿2000 fine.

It’s ฿2000 however late you are.

This is nothing whatsoever to do with overstaying
