So my work permit will expire Monday. I came in a visa on arrival originally, which changed to a non b then I got a work permit. I want to try to extend or get a extension denied which I think gives me 7 days? Can anyone give me advice on what immigration place to go to in Bangkok for this? I am waiting for a visa here and just need one more week 😢

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on extending their stay in Thailand, as their work permit is about to expire. They originally entered on a visa on arrival, transitioned to a non-B visa, and obtained a work permit. They are considering applying for a 7-day extension based on potential application denial and want to know the appropriate immigration office in Bangkok to visit. Commenters highlight the importance of understanding the implications of applying for an extension, such as the requirement to leave the country if denied.

When you say you're waiting for a visa, what exactly do you mean?

If you try to go for the 7 day "application denied" stamp and get it, you must leave Thailand after those 7 days. You can't get another visa or extension or anything inside Thailand. The extension denied stamp has no other options than to leave the country.

You are right. You will get an application-denied-7-days-to-leave-kingdom stamp when your extension application is denied.

BUT be sure you are still on the first 90 days immigration stamp (permitted to stay until), NOT the expiry of the work permit.

You also better cancel your work permit beforehand at the labor office.

You are going to go to the Chaengwattana Immigration office, Government Complex Building B to apply for an extension based on whatever reason to get 7 days stamp.

You will go here.

And you can book online if you want to
