Will a blacklist stamp from Malaysia affect my entry into Thailand?

Hi everyone, I'm a British citizen and I recently got banned from Malaysia for a really silly reason when i crossed the Thai-Malay border, and now have to return to the UK within 7 days by their orders. I'm catching my flight today but I need to be back in Thailand in a couple of days to meet a family member. Do you know if I'll have trouble getting into Thailand with the blacklist stamp for Malaysia in my passport? The ban is only for overstating in Malaysia but I'm not sure if the stamp will deter other ASEAN countries from letting me in? Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A British citizen recently faced a ban from Malaysia for overstaying due to a failure to get stamped upon entry. Now, the individual is concerned about re-entering Thailand with this blacklist stamp in their passport. Community members suggest that the ban shouldn't deter entry to Thailand but recommend being prepared with proof of funds, onward travel, and accommodation details to avoid any issues.

And on that note I think Becki knows enough about what to do to get back into thailand.

@And***
, how can it not be someone's fault when they don't get stamped in when entering a country?

Thanks Andrew. I totally understand that overstaying is normally punishable, but I didn't intentionally overstay. I just didn't get stamped in to Malaysia when I crossed the border, due to a lot of confusion. I was only in Malaysia for about 8-9 days before I realised the error. Plus they fined me the minimum amount but then gave me a ban of 5 years which is completely bizarre. I think it was mostly to deter me from wanting to come back, even though I never plan to

why do you say that
@And***
?

Being banned or blacklisted from a country for overstaying is a normal thing.

I would be prepared to show proof of 20K baht, proof of onward travel and proof of a hotel booking when you fly in just in case you're asked.
