Will I be banned from reentering Thailand after a 30-day overstay despite having a 60-day stamp?

Hi guys! I really do hope someone will help me with this. So I went to the border to cross the friendship bridge to go process my 1 year ED visa and they told me I overstayed for 30 days. The stamp on my passport says I have 60 days to stay which is why I decided to wait a couple days before my 60 days expires while I wait for my documents from the school. I arrived at Bangkok with the 60day stamp to stay. Well, the fact that it wasn't my fault but the officer's. Will I be banned from reentering Thailand? I just arrived in Laos, Vientiane to apply for my ED Visa tomorrow. I needed any help from you asap. Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about a potential ban from reentering Thailand after overstaying their visa by 30 days, despite having a stamp that allows a 60-day stay. According to community responses, since the overstay was less than 90 days, a ban is unlikely if fines were paid. However, it's highlighted that it is the visa holder's responsibility to check their passport stamps and ensure accuracy to avoid such situations.

Another lesson learned, check your stamps, in this case it was only 30 days times 500 Thb = 15.000 Thb for this lesson.

The officer may have stamped you incorrectly, but It’s your responsibility to check your passport entry stamps. If you had you could have had it corrected free of charge.

So now you're in Laos and asking if you're going to banned from Thailand? When you left and the Immigration told you, you are on overstay, you paid the fine and he let you go. If you're overstay was less than 90 days there is no ban.

They will have registration of your you and you have in the passport. As in the example: 3 days paid 1500 Thb.

@Robert ******
should they need any receipt or something from the Paymemt of your overstay?
Robert *******
No, you only get banned if you turn yourself in with minimum 90 days of overstay or with overstay of minimum 1 day when you get arrested.

we'll find out tomorrow. Is it possible that they will stamp you with banned even you paid for your overstay and it's just 30 days?

Love Google, the overstay stamp:

Don't have the example of overstay stamp, but this stamp is when you banned to enter Thailand.

@Robert ******

Always, always, always check what is stamped inside your passport before leaving the counter....that is your responsibility.

Because I was here in Thailand for a month, then, went back to US and came back again. When I came back last August that's when I had the 60 days stamo

If you get banned you will get an extra stamp inside your passport and documentation of the reason of the ban. If you have nothing else than an overstay stamp and paid the fine all is good.
Robert *******
You have to check the stamps, even when the stamps are wrong it is you responsibility to ask them to correct the stamp.

So I will not be banned? As long as I paid?

Yes. I am going to the consulate to apply tomorrow since I have all the documents from school. Will there be any problem? I payed for my overstayed days which is 500baht each day even though it was the officer's mistake who put that stamp on me.
