What is the process and requirements for applying for a DTV workcation visa in Thailand from Dubai?

Applied in Dubai.

Submitted the required documents for DTV category workcation on the19th February.

I applied using UK property portfolio management.

I received requests for multiple additional documents several times over the space of 6 weeks.

These included the company I work for in the UAE, NOC, TL and a letter from myself. This was to confirm that I was allowed to work in Thailand to carry out my actively managed property portfolio.

Anyway, on the morning of the 26th March I again received which was to be the final additional document request. This was for a screenshot from my UAE banking app showing my current balance. In the afternoon, I received the evisa by email.

This was a long-time of back and forth, worrying if I would get or not.

Very glad to finally receive the DTV the very best of luck to all in your applications.

Thank you to the group for the support

Thank You for your helpful report 👍

Congratulations 👏👏👏

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

Did you do research as to what you had to submit before?

With a checklist like the one in the guide I used from dtvquickdotcom you probably could have saved a lot of that back and forth

I did research, I already had uploaded the max size in first submission. The repeated requests.were for employer NOC in the UAE, I get computer generated, though employee app.

However, they requested stamped and signed, then they again asked for workcation as subject.

However, my employer company was only providing NOC for a thai visa. I provided the NOC for my own property management for workcation. Even though this was all explained in the orginal cover letter and supporting documentation.

Advice is

If in the UAE on a sponsored visa. Ensure you can get an NOC stamped and signed with additionally, a letter from your own side explaining your property management circumstances and how you can do this remotely, workcation.

Confused. I’m applying as a UK landlord. You have an employer in UAE? What is NOC? TL? What was the actual issue here?

Yes I have an employer in the UAE, an NOC is a "no objection certificate". The only challenge was it took quite sometime "Additional information", however, I received my DTV evisa as stated yesterday.

You can find in the threads several posts from UK landlords who have obtained DTVs. Not a difficult process via London.

Ok, some remove posts after approval. Basically detail how you manage the properties online, ownership info along with the required financial docs.

I am a resident in the UAE my visa is sponsored by my employer. Hence the NOC. Yes, I applied as I stated as a property portfolio manager, for my own properties in the UK. My case is more relevent to my location and visa status in the UAE.

Anonymous participant thanks. I’m still confused. You have an employer but you applied as property portfolio manager? Do you own the properties you manage? Who is ‘not objecting’? And to what? Thanks.
