Hi! I'm just new here.. Just want to ask.. I've just seen last night that my visa has expired last april 8 and my work permit is still valid until September 30. How is this? I thought that the wp and visa should have the same expiration? ๐ช

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user's visa expired on April 8, while their work permit remains valid until September 30, raising confusion about the synchronization of expiration dates for visas and work permits in Thailand. Comments clarify that they no longer align and emphasize the need for the user to address the overstay situation to avoid fines.
That's it! I'm not even sure.. Too bad, the one who is responsible in processing the documents in our school doesn't even know too. This is also the reason I joined here to seek for help and to avoid penalty.. The immigration officer was not able to advise me about it the time i went to their office for notification. My bad as well who was not able to check the date since I thought that the validity is just the same.
I would speak to someone ASAP. Even chat to an agent on a phone to see if they have options. I know this might sound crazy but does your work not track everything? Mine does including 90 day reports which they do for me.
