Hello, wanna ask some question. The condition im with right now is my work permit is out of date. The reason is because the company im working with didnt tell me that they didnt extension my work permit. And its has expired for a month. My length of stay still have 4 more months to expire. I dont know what to do now. Am i going to b blacklist? Or getting fine? And is it possible to go out thailand and come back with travel visa? My current company is not helping me with anyway either the visa or the work permit.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing a situation where their work permit has expired due to their company's failure to extend it, leaving them uncertain about potential consequences such as fines or blacklisting. They are also considering whether they can leave Thailand and re-enter on a travel visa. Comments suggest that the user is responsible for their work permit and extension, and they need to cancel both before leaving the country to avoid additional penalties.

okay, the work permit is in YOUR name, that means YOU are responsible for canceling it.

Also your extension is in YOUR passport meaning you are also responsible for that.

When you stop working you CANNOT just stay on your extension until it runs out :/ You need to go cancel your work permit then go cancel the extension then leave the country and get a new visa or re-enter on a visa exempt entry.

You currently are on overstay from the date your work permit canceled. I doubt you could stamp out at a border without having canceled your extension at the immigration office first (and clearing the overstay fine you will get).

You need to get the receipt of your work permit being canceled from your old employer, take that your termination paperwork to the immigration office, cancel this current extension, pay the overstay fine, and then you can leave the country.

Good Luck (y)

You are on overstay, and possibly other than a large fine, big trouble if you get caught.

Sorry to be blunt but from experience, it sounds like your company could not give a shit, because they could easily sort out the WP for you. Time to move on I would say. I presume you are still working for them. So just say good bye. You will need to cancel your extension of stay of course. Or just go work in a different country, like Vietnam for example. More money and lower cost of living too.

Do you have an extension of stay? Since you say 4 months left I guess that is the case.

Then you have to cancel that and leave the country.

Your company sounds like very unserious but even though its your responsibility to know the due date of your work permit and you shouldnt have kept working after wp expired.

just so you're clear you can't stay on an extension based on employment when you are no longer employed :O That's not how it works.

but if i fly out straightly, do the airport know that my work permit is out of date. also i think i cant apply another travel visa for coming back right?? cuz i still with work visa.

If you leave a job you are officially required to cancel your extension (and therefore your passport work permit stamp is cancelled) immediately.

However, also be aware that immigration and the work permit offices are separate administrations and often not in efficient contact with each other... so it you could take the RISK of staying 4 months and leave (best to fly out), and return on a holiday visa (but if you want to work you will still have to have the work permit cancelled for a new one to be processed).

Good luck. >?>?
