My wife (under 50) is here on 45 day visa exempt entry & needs to get 90 day non-O outside of Thailand, before re-entering to apply (after 45 days) for failing spouse/dependent visa on the back of my retirement visa…is there a Thai embassy in a close by country that’s recommended for ease of process? We were thinking Penang or preferably Singapore…(we live in Phuket, have friends we could visit in SG)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on where to apply for a 90-day Non-O visa for their wife, who is on a 45-day visa exemption in Thailand. They are considering applying at a Thai embassy in a nearby country, preferably Singapore or Penang, while mentioning that they live in Phuket. A comment notes that there are limited reports on such visa processes post-COVID, and suggests checking with the embassies in Penang or Savarnaket.

We don't have many reports about Non-O trailing spouse to a Non-O retirement holder around SEA since the Covid chaos yet. Check with Penang or Savarnaket. Singapore doesn't issue it unless you hold Non-OA.
