TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK resident currently applying for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) should apply at the nearest Thai embassy or consulate in their current location, rather than returning to the UK. Some consulates may have restrictions related to residency, so it's important to verify that you can apply from your current location. Also, keep in mind that you need to stay in the place of application until the visa process is complete.
Thanks guys submitted it in Jakarta do will keep posteed

You must apply using the Thai consulate that serves your current location. Some consulates restrict applications to residents, so if you are not you would have to travel elsewhere to apply. Once you've applied you need to remain in that location until the visa process completes

I see in another response you are in Indonesia so you would apply using the Thai Embassy in Jakarta, no matter where you are in Indonesia

I actually emailed the UK Thai embassy this morning and asked if I could apply there whilst being in Japan as the embassy in Tokyo is a nightmare to deal with . If I hear back I'll let you no

Anonymous participant 349 Not true. You apply from the embassy in your current location. However, some embassies only allow residents to apply though them.
