What are the requirements for applying for a DTV visa in Thailand from Italy?

Hi guys, I need some advice and reassurance from those who had a similar experience. I applied for the DTV visa through a European agency. They told me I could apply with around €12,500 in the bank (less than 50,000 THB). I sent all documents 4 weeks before my flight (bank statement, 3 invoices, residence certificate, VAT certificate, self-declaration, passport, driving license). Now they say 3 invoices are not enough and are delaying sending my application to the Thai embassy in Italy. I don’t have more invoices i can create another 2... and I’m worried time is running out. In 3 weeks is my departure. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on their DTV visa application process through a European agency. They submitted documents with €12,500 in the bank but are now being told that three invoices are insufficient, causing delays in their application to the Thai embassy in Italy. Concerns arise as their flight is in three weeks, and they are uncertain about meeting the necessary financial requirements.

In general, it’s better to book the flight once you get the visa… you never know how long it’s gon a take.

It sounds like you’re trying to get around the requirements. These sorts of attempts mess up the process for many 😓

Yes in Italy you need 12.500 Euro that is 471.22 in Thb not too much difference

Anonieme deelnemer Is that info somewhere on the website of the Thai embassy in Italy or just info from an agent?

I think 6 percent is quite a difference, and surely would not take the risk to apply with less than 500K

Anonymous participant Good Luck 🍀 the submission of additional documents requested by the Thai Embassy usually results in the processing time to start over again.

But it also says 500,000 THB, so I wonder what happens if you don't have 500,000 THB

You need 500,000 THB or equivalent in another currency

It is pretty clear that you need 500k. Not sure this agency knows what they are talking about.

Which consulate are you applying at? None will accept less than 500k baht that I'm aware of but consulates do often want a higher figure as they use their own exchange rate
