Do I get a reentry permit after I go through immigration at the airport? At the airport is the reentry counter open 24 hrs? Or should I get the reentry permit at immigration?

Make life easier by taking a passport photo, and download re-entry form and complete - it will speed up your passage through immig - they will do it for you, charge is B200 if I recall in addition to fee for permit ….

 depends on the airport and the gate you go through. DMK is after immigration for everyone.

At BKK one of the exit gates has it between security and immigration but for the others you must go through immigration and loop back around.
