Does anyone have a link to a police clearance form I could use when applying for a Thai retirement visa in Australia?
I asked the consulate and they said ask the police who, when I rang them, told me to ask the consulate.
I checked a police form on line and got a multi page multi dollar form wanting finger prints and all.
The visa form says only an identity check.
Got me buggered.

I from the U.S. I went to some small municipality clerk's office. I they printed a document that said I have not active case and maybe no previous cases. - The end. I think more-or-less, you just need an official looking document that says you are not in any trouble.
Umm, you're actually after the exact visa I mentioned in my other reply ;) ; a year-long, multi-entry Non-Immigrant Type O-A (Long Stay) visa which is called a retirement visa by every Tom, Dick and Somchai..
It's the one that you can only get in your home country, requires a medical certificate and a police background check. :)
