The Thai Embassy website is confusing to me. I’m looking for a One Year Non-Immigrant Multi-Entry Visa (I believe this is the one I’m looking for).

Can someone from the United States help me out and tell me the correct link to use to complete my application?

My flight departs June 13.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking help with finding the correct link to apply for a One Year Non-Immigrant Multi-Entry Visa from the US, expressing confusion about the Thai Embassy website. Various commenters suggest options available, including applying for a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) and provide specific links to different Thai consulate websites, especially the one in Los Angeles, which is relevant for residents of California.

On the one hand you want to retire in Thailand... AND now say you want to stay 6 months.

IF only 6 months, Apply for the METV multiple entry tourist visa from the Thai Consulate in Los Angeles. Use the on-line Evisa application system. With planning it will give you up to 9 months stay in Thailand.

Read this recent post about how to get the METV multiple entry tourist visa.

I wasn’t aware it was such a variance between 6 and 12 months.

I’m looking for to stay at least 12 months, but if 6 months was the only option, I’d have to settle for that.

Having information on. It’s helps me decide which I can honestly do.

Hope this clears up the confusion.

frankly, I am bit confused with your posts. That's ok as the Thai Visa process can too be confusing to understand.

BUT hopefully the information I have posted on your post are helpful.

That Thai Visa is NOT available to Americans. Suggest you explore further the Thai Visas available on the websites of the Thai Embassy or Consulate websites in USA.

Another option for retirement in Thailand is to obtain the OA visa from the Los Angeles Thai Consulate.

suggest you look at the OA and O Visa for retirement. The requirements for EACH are different. The OA allows you to use your money in the USA to qualify for the visa. The O requires a cash deposit of 800,000 Thai baht in a Thai bank account in your name only.

I’m currently 52. I want to live in Thailand for one year. I’m being told the Non O Visa is what I need.

I have the funds to deposit for a retirement visa, if needed, but I’m also being told I can’t open a Thai bank account unless I’m over there.

you need to Apply for the Non O Visa as retiree. .

AND when you arrive into Thailand you will get 90 days STAMP to Stay.

THEN to stay longer you will need to meet the requirements for the One year extension of stay as retired... 800,000 Thai baht deposited into a Thai bank account in your name only.
