Hi all 🙂

I arrived back in Thailand I. A reentry permit. I current have an Ed Visa based on extension of stay.

Now as far as I know I am suppose to report my location 90 days from the 4th of Jan. However, that's around songkhran when I won't be in the country. Leave 7th of April come back 13th of April.

This is the tricky part. My Current ED Visa expires next week. However I received an extension for one more year based on stay. So this takes it to March 2019. (Does this anything to do with the above paragraph?)

Please advise if I should do a 90 day notification of stay before I leave the country or upon my return? Would I have problems at immigration ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the process for filing a 90-day notification of stay in Thailand, given their travel plans during the Songkran festival and the expiration of their current ED visa which has been extended. The discussion touches on the necessity of reporting before leaving or upon returning, as well as potential issues at immigration. Community comments suggest that filing a TM.30 notification is advisable upon re-entry and that the Bangkok immigration office may not prioritize the location report if it's lodged properly.

The bangkok immigration office doesn't care in the least if you or your landlord files a TM.30 notification of alien in residence form when you come back into the country.

I believe you must also go to immigration within 24 hours of arriving back in Thailand, and they stamp your TM 30 with the date. I did this and it was easy, no line. I guess they can find you at 90 day report if you don’t do this.
