Good evening,

Question: Old multiple ED Visum expires 14th of March 2018, got an extension (single entry) March 7th for 5 more months until August 31st 2018. Leaving the country tomorrow for two days (9th to 10th). Will I need a re-entry permit (am I „on“ the extension now or still on the multiple entry visa?)? Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired whether they needed a re-entry permit after obtaining a single-entry extension of their ED visa, set to expire on August 31, 2018, and planned to leave Thailand for two days. They received feedback from a re-entry permit office indicating that a permit was not necessary, and upon departure, the immigration officer did not ask for a permit, leading to some confusion regarding the correct procedure.

Yesterday I asked at the re-entry permit office and they told me I don’t need. Today everything was fine. The immigration officer didn’t ask for re entry permit. I don’t know what is right or wrong. The lady at the re-entry permit office was confused too but she told me I don’t need.
