Hi, i'm on 30days visa exemption until the 3th of january. If I go to the immigration now for the 30 days extension, will they start from the 4th of january or will the 30 extension days start from the day of the immigration visit?

Thank you ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you apply for the 30-day visa extension before your current visa exemption expires, the extension period begins on the day you visit immigration, not from the expiration date of your current visa.

This explains how the dates work on a 30 day extension

you can see that the 30 day extension was ADDED to the expiration date of their original 30 day visa exempt entry stamp.

Ady Bazeley that is NOT correct :/ a 30 day extension is ADDED to your current expiration date. :)

Be that as it may the 30 day extension is ADDED to your current expiration date, <- meaning you do not lose any days by going early for it :)

there is no 30 day visa on arrival :O

If you showed up here without buying a visa from a thai consulate before you came here and were stamped in FREE for 30 days you got in on what's called a 30 day visa exempt entry stamp
