Hi lovely people! I did a 30 days extension for a tourist visa at the immigration office. But now, I have 2 dates stamped on my passport. What MOP 16 means? Do I have to do a new extension before Jan 12? Or I am good until Feb 11? Appreciate the help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The MOP 16 noted on your visa is a reference to the extension page of your visa documentation. Your original entry stamp allowed you to stay until January 12, and with the extension you've obtained, you are now permitted to stay until February 11. Therefore, you do not need to apply for another extension before January 12.

Why you didn’t ask them when you got it? Didn’t check before you left the office?

1/ They return you the passport outside of the office.

2/ Agent told me everyone was going on a lunch break (it was past noon) and if I had any questions, I would have to come back in the afternoon.

3/ oh! And also, because I do whatever I want 😉

Immigration officers who return your passport outside of the office?

I never experienced that before.

Because answers from “somebody” on Facebook seems to be more official than what an actual I.O. Would say on the spot 🤪

It doesn't say MOP, it says ต่อ (extension) page 16. On the extension it says จาก (from) page 15. Those are just notes to link the entry stamp and the extension.

The MOP is just a note, or the officer's initials.

Your initial entry stamp gave you permission to stay until January 12th. Your extension added an extra 30 days so you can stay until February 11th.
