When do I need to submit my 90-day report and can I get a bank account on a Thai DTV?

Hello everyone 🤗 I got a DTV approved in mid November. I traveled back to my home country mid December to celebrate Christmas and New Years with my family, and returned to Thailand early January.

Question 1: When do I have to submit my 90 day report? Is it 90 days from the approved visa date, or is it 90 days from my last arrival? I've heard some different answers from people I know and I'd like to make sure.

Question 2: I am going to get a thai driving license and a bank account. These are possible on a DTV if I get a resident certificate from immigration, right?

Khob khun khrap 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on two points regarding their DTV visa in Thailand. Firstly, they want to confirm if the 90-day report is due from the date of visa approval or from their latest arrival in Thailand. Responses indicate that the 90-day report should be submitted based on the arrival date in Thailand. Secondly, they inquire about obtaining a Thai driving license and a bank account; while they can get a driving license with a Certificate of Residence, they cannot open a bank account as a DTV holder.

1. You report that you are 90 days inside Thailand.

The count start on day of arrival, as foreingers could be busy, Immigration allows you to make this report between 15 days before until 7 days after due date.

2. Out of many reports, DTV holders can not open a bank account

To get a Thai driving license you need the Certificate of Residence from Immigration, a health certificate which you get in any clinic or hospital,

I heard there now is a special letter from Immigration for DLT to replace the residence certificate when you need a drivers licence, do you know about that?

Also you have to watch the elearning video of DLT to get a certificate valid for 180 days.

I just got it now and said I needed it for Driver's License. They also said I could get one for a bank account so I tried that too. We'll see once I get it if I am able to open a bank account or not.

Thank you so much for your response 🙏

I saw someone in this group said they opened up a bank account with a Certificate of residence. I also hear they can't on a DTV so I'm flustered.
