Just a heads u,I was just at Jomtien immigration and a young guy in front of me was asking for a 30 day extension and the guy told him his visa didn't finish until March 8 and to come back on the 5th not sure if it was the way he looked and dressed but clearly the guy who's always at the front desk wasn't happy with him and when the guy asked why he was told to leave so I'm not sure if this is a new rule for 30 day extension in Jomtien or it was just the circumstance

TLDR : Answer Summary
Visitors at Jomtien immigration have observed that when requesting a 30-day extension, they are instructed to return only during the last five days of their current stay. This seems to be a standard operating procedure due to high traffic at the office, regardless of whether it is busy or quiet, to manage the volume of requests efficiently.

Thanks for the information. It is known that the jomtien/pattaya office tell people, who visit on Visa Exempt Entry to come during the last few days of their stay for the Extension of Stay. If they do this because they are to busy or other reasons i do not know. Good luck.

Wasting people's time asking for a 30 day extension nearly 3 weeks or so before he would need it.

Even when they are quiet, Jomtien will never do a tourist visa extension more than 15 days before a permission to stay to date

Jomtien is so busy, they request you get your 30 day extensions in last few days your permission to stay date.

It's normal for Jomtien to tell you to come back in the last 5 days or less of your permission to stay when they are busy
