Has anyone quarantined at an ASQ that had good internet speeds (40mbps) and a router in the room?

I work online and need to plug in directly to a router while I work. Any advice would be appreciated 💁🏼‍♂️

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on travelers seeking quarantine hotels (ASQ) in Thailand that provide good internet connections for working online. Commenters share their experiences, highlighting hotels with reliable internet speeds, such as Anantara Siam and Centrepoint Silom, and recommend using personal routers or cellular connections when necessary. Several users also suggest checking specific groups for detailed internet speed tables.

I stayed at centrepoint Silom and had a wifi hub in the room mounted on ceiling that had LAN ports. Never used as the speed was excellent over wifi for all my video calls I had everyday

We worked on line constantly at Radisson Suites. We didn’t upload large files though but we did use it for Netflix.

sounds good and did you ever see the speeds?

You can buy a device that simulates this. It connects directly to your laptop and then connects to WIFI. The spyware your company has on your computer won’t be able to tell the difference

I saw in group ASQ review some one had put together a internet speed table not sure if they mentioned routers in room.

I was in anantara siam and used LAN connection for gaming and was fine.

I work online also - also require quality network. I use cellular, never rely on hotel internet. I can't really tell you about specific places most places in Bangkok have great cellar. However, sometimes there will be interference from other buildings or what have you.

I work for a company in the US. So speed from TH to US is what is important to me.

Will give you just that. 250ms latency may sound scary but its never been an issue with zoom or other video conferencing. You may try to ask some of the hotel staff to test on their phones, send you a screen shot.
