Do I need to show income from my website for a DTV visa if it’s only been online for a short time?

I just was contacted by an agent and he say clear: if your website just start up, and you cant show income of it from the last 6 months (website only 5 weeks online) even the 1.5M savings ll not be enough to have your DTV visa. Dont do it... 😭😭

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared a concern over being informed by an agent that a newly launched website (only 5 weeks online) would not be sufficient to qualify for the DTV visa, even with considerable savings of 1.5 million baht. This prompted multiple comments, with some expressing skepticism about the agent's claims, emphasizing that stability of income and proof of savings are more critical than the age of the website. Several commenters shared their own experiences, stating that shorter website history did not negatively impact their visa applications, suggesting that the application and verification process has many variables.

Well obviously that would be taken into consideration if it looks like you didn't have a company but just started one last night to get the visa lol. However in reality, even freelancers don't always have a website or a portfolio and often build one or some slides just for the application. The main thing they care about is:

Does the farang have 500k baht that was also theirs three months ago so they can support themselves in Thailand?

Does the farang have a regular income to support him/herself while in Thailand.

Anything else is just evidence to prove the above and a wix website made a month ago isn't going to make any difference if the two above points aren't met.

1) They don't want you to just borrow 500k from a friend just for the application hence the three month criteria.

2) They don't want you to live cheap with no income on Thailand then take a job that could have been given to a Thai local

Literally everything else is just evidence of point 1 and point 2.

However I've never just a random visa agent contact me like that with a problem. Chances are thats just a tactic to sell you another visa if you meet criteria for points 1 and 2. If you don't meet criteria for points 1 or 2 then you dont need an agent to tell you that will fail

Nonsense from anonymous fear mongers.

Thank you for your advice
Don *******
They don’t even check how long the website has been up for. This is nonsense

They want to sell soft power courses so that they can make extra commission. Apparent from many comments from this thread.

My website was only 3 month old and I have only a little income from projects but a higher amount of savings . Approved in Jakarta

I doubt a agent said that. Especially considering I don't have a website. I showed one video of content I made for work.

Oh so you mean an unofficial agent? Got you. They will tell you anything to get your money. Do it the right way you won't have to worry about anything. 🥂

Anonymous participant 6 month proof of income is a lie. I have a DTV and I showed a couple invoices within a month or so of my application - lastly. Why are you even using an agent for a DTV 😂

As I am learning with my application..

There are many MANY variables. A big one is where in the world you actually lodge your application.

I liken it to a driving test - on any given day, there is a quota, some pass, some fail.

Message me and we'll figure out a way. Thanks.

I was never asked for any proof of income.. it was London embasy a week after launch.

I think it depends what you select on your application.. I do remember that I had no income at the time of application so I selected that I earn $0 and I'm unemployed... maybe that's why they didn't ask. Maybe if you pick a higher number they will want to see a proof.

An agent also told us something by phone that wasn’t accurate. My website had only been up 1 year before doing the DTV… as long as you have a stable income you’re ok

my website only 5 weeks... so no income. Savings way above 500K. Lets hope they are nice in Ho Chi Minh 🙈

Anonymous participant I don’t think the website being new is the issue, I think they’ll just want to see regular income (you must have been making $$ before the website too)

what being anonymous got to do with anything? Not everyone enjoys being an open book for weirdos to see

I thought you were talking about the agent. But that's right, both agents and anonymous posters do fear mongering activities. In some cases I've even thought the anonymous here are agents in disguise themselves haha

I did it just fine that way with rental income and 5 million savings and new online business with zero income and a good pension
