TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the recent experiences of individuals applying for visas from the Thai Embassy in Hanoi. While some users reported positive outcomes with their DTV visas being approved, others shared disappointing news of their applications being rejected. Concerns were raised about possible recent changes in the embassy's operations, and discussions about the potential factors leading to the rejections ensued, including the involvement of agents and advice on alternative application locations. Additionally, there was some interaction regarding a specific visa service offering a refund on rejections.

you might wish to delete your post about the reduction in visa exempt entry from 60 days to 30 days... it's wrong information as it did not happen

I respectfully disagree with you... While you do state "Thailand plans to reduce"...the emphasis should be that "visa exempt entry STILL is 60 days on arrival into Thailand. Subject to change."

Thank you for your helpful replies... hopefully many more folks will be obtaining the DTV visa. 🤗

Thank You for your helpful report 👍

Congratulations 👏👏👏

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

Does anyone know what's going on in Hanoi? Was there some kind of change in the management at the embassy? Did someone who got the DTV in Hanoi commit a crime in Thailand and now they are being super strict?

yes, last Friday changed to pending approval. Wait the whole week and now it was rejected. Uploaded boarding pass, Vietnam arrival stamp, hotel bookings, literally everything correctly.

Even the bank statement was from 6 months ago with more than 500k every month.

The only reason that I can think of is that I applied with my friend, sharing a hotel room. Can't think about any other reasons

please check my application and tell me if you miss something from there 🙏. I see a lot of rejections so something major had to change to justify all these rejections. Trying to figure out what it is. My wife is currently there awaiting results and now we are a bit worried to be honest with you

On my application page it says:

Status: Reject Visa Application – Royal Thai Embassy Hanoi

As far as I understand, you can’t know the exact reason.

I want to do everything to get it. I applied through a highly recommended agent, and I don't understand why it failed.

*My nationality is not allowed to enter Indonesia easily, in my opinion.

Anonymous participant 166 I hope you did not pay a lot of money to an agent. Does the agent know why.? Are you still in Vietnam ? Which countries are you able to easily go to?
