What was your experience like?

Friend of mine from Turkey on a DTV got the “apply from your own country” response after three or four requests for additional documents. We cancelled the trip. Ultimately they asked for a Letter of Invitation which we applied for to three of the largest travel agencies in China. Only one responded and said we can’t issue for Turkish citizen - no doubt the embassy would have known that. Online forums seem to suggest success rate for Turkish citizens applying to China embassy in Bangkok at 20-30%

Yes. I did get it from Bangkok. But they only give single entry valid for a month and max 30 days stay. Weak passport as well..

RubyChestnut08 I see. If the visa is issued on June 20, will it be valid for 90 days, or will we only have 30 days to enter the country? I’m a bit confused about how it works. Did they require Resident Certificate when you submit the passport or just need it for online form?

Catathome only 30 days from the date it was issued to enter China and 30 days max stay from the day you enter. I know...I was shocked too. And about 1500 baht if I'm not mistaken. No resident certificate, just online form and copy of dtv. After, they will give a pre approval letter to print and to drop off with passport at the embassy for the visa

RubyChestnut08 Oh no, luckily I asked for advice before submitting! I only see posts sharing they have single entry in 90days and duration of stay is 15days so I thought it's a common regulation 😞 Thank you so much anyway! This is a very helpful information, I really appreciate it!

So glad to see your comment! Did they require you to submit a Residence Certificate (which only valid for 30days for DTV holder)? How long did you have to wait to get approved? We have a weak passport so we're quite worried...
