Hi everyone. I will be living in Bangkok for a year. My girlfriend has a Romanian and Russian passport. Could anyone suggest the best method of her staying in Bangkok for a year or provide services? I looked into a visa on arrival it looks like it's a maximum of 15 days followed by visa runs. This option seems unfeasible. I was thinking of maybe a business visa if anyone know of an agent who can sponsor this? Otherwise please let me know what the options are for her. Thanks a lot everyone.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on the best way for their girlfriend, who holds Romanian and Russian passports, to stay in Bangkok for a year. They initially considered a visa on arrival for 15 days, but found this inadequate. Suggestions from the community include applying for a visa exempt for 30 days with an option to extend for an additional 30 days, exploring the possibility of obtaining a Tourist (TR) visa prior to arrival, looking into education visas, or considering a business visa with sponsorship. Additionally, members mentioned the possibility of making visa runs and extending visas locally.

Don't worry. You can pick up a Biz Visa at 7-11

You don't need visa on arrival.

Just get visa exempt. 30 days and then you extend it for 1900b

then you can make a visa run and do the same procedere again

Get education visa

Do you mean visa on arrival or visa exempt ? The latter is 30 days and can be extended for a further 30 days . Or apply for a TR visa before you arrive in Thailand, and gives her 60 days and can be extended too.

Is it possible to get the education visa for the year without needing to attend class?

passport holders from Russian Federation can get 30 days visa exempt, I think. And then she could apply for Education visa. Some people pay agents to expedite this.

I’m not an expert but I believe you can do 2 visa extensions.
