TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around recent discussions about the Thai immigration situation, particularly focusing on the amnesty period that ends on September 26th. Comments highlight concerns about current immigration rules, the government's previous announcements regarding visa extensions, and speculations about new visa types that may be introduced. Some users express frustration over the lack of current updates while others discuss the implications of the new long-term visa being offered for 2000 THB.
Most of people in here try to say that Thai government alreday give long amnesty period and they extend more time and ask us to change the right visa to stay more. They alredy did it well and very kind and so on...
But maybe someone don't want to change work visa or marriga visa and just want to stay more.
Anyway, Thai goverment will give new long-term visa next month for 2000B.
It means Kick ass poor tourist and wellcome rich tourist??
We can pay 2000B for long term visa fee and we also spend money in Thailand.
Why they just keep amnesty tourist to stay more and wellcome new tourist more.
Come on Mimi Kesang, Immigration Bureau made a clear announcement on July 24th. Why are you waking up only now? Why are you having a highly risky bet? Sorry, I don't know your current situation but better safe than sorry.
Current amnesty ends on Sept 26th. Immigration Bureaus are having a hectic situation right now: "in order to avoid overcrowding, please come earlier"
