Hoping people can help me with this question ! I am 66 year old Australian married to a Thai woman and planning to move to Thailand in a couple of years ! Sounds like 1 year multi entry non immigrant O visa based on marriage might be best for me ! We were married in OZ 3 years ago and not in Thailand so will that certificate do ? Also one of the requirements is Marriage confirmation form “ ORIGINAL “ from Amphur ! We will be back in Thailand in 2 weeks so would it be better for the future if we go and get married at the Amphur while we are there? Thanks in advance for your help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
An Australian citizen planning to relocate to Thailand may consider applying for a 1-year multi-entry NON-O visa based on marriage. It's important to note that a marriage certificate issued in Australia is generally accepted, but applicants should also obtain an original marriage confirmation form from the Amphur in Thailand. Additionally, an option to marry again at the Amphur while in Thailand could provide further confirmation of marriage status, which may be beneficial for visa applications.
