Hi, I would like to know the exact requirements to get the VISA based on marriage in Bangkok.

From what I know:

-marriage certification

-police clearance

-bank book updated

-letter from your thai bank justify you have 400k for the last 2 months

-all the basics docs (copy passport, last entry stamp...)

I know there is also some kind of pictures to provide like you and your wife in the apartment...

What is exactly they want?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a NON-O visa based on marriage in Bangkok, applicants need to provide several documents including a marriage certificate, a police clearance, an updated bank book showing at least 400,000 THB for the last two months, and basic identification documents. Additionally, applicants must submit photographs evidencing their cohabitation with their spouse. Different immigration offices may have varying requirements, and it's advisable to check the specific details from the Bangkok Immigration office.

Ok, I'm shutting this down.

1. The OP is asking for an in-country Non-O visa based on marriage, explicitly. He listed the requirements for the extension of stay based on marriage, however. I will assume he needs an in-country Non-O visa based on marriage, because that's what he is asking in his post.

2. Different immigration offices have different requirements for an in-country Non-O visa based on marriage. He is using Bangkok Immigration (per the OP's post). I listed the requirements that I have, and
@Ellie ******
provided a link to the requirements that's posted on Bangkok Immigration's website.

3. IF the OP submits the documents, however does not have all the documents required, I never, ever heard of anyone being formally rejected for an in-country visa. The immigration officer will tell the person they can not issue the visa, and to return with whatever missing documents are required.

4. There is NO under consideration stamp for an in-country Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai national.

5. *AS OF RIGHT NOW*, the poster does not qualify for an in-country Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai national, OR a one year extension of stay based on marriage, because he is not married to the Thai wife (but he said he's going to).

WHY must a person get an in-country Non-O visa based on marriage?

A person needs this visa to get a one year extension of stay based on marriage. Without a Non-O visa, a person can not go from a visa exempt/ tourist visa to a one year extension of stay without the Non-O visa being a "bridge".

Thank you one and all, but with bad advice being given now, I gotta shut this post down before it confuses the poster.

You *SHOULD* need the following:

1. Your passport and a copy of:

a. The data “picture” page.

b. The most recent visa (if applicable).

c. The most recent entry stamp or extension of stay (if applicable).

d. The departure card (“TM 6”) stapled in the passport.

2. If entered on a tourist visa, a TM 86 visa change request form, and if entered on a visa on arrival, visa exempt, or bilateral agreement, a TM 87 visa change request form.

3. Proof of a TM 30 filed at the immigration office.

4. A marriage certificate with a certified translation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, if the certificate was not issued in Thailand, and one copy.

5. A front and back copy of the wife’s Thai ID card, the original and copy of the Thai house book, and an updated Kor Ror 2 showing the marriage is still current, acquired from the local amphur office.

6. Financial requirements must be met. These requirements are:

- 400,000 THB in a Thai bank account OR;

- 40,000 THB in income OR;

- A letter from the embassy saying the applicant has a monthly income of 40,000 THB or more a month. If the embassy offers the income letter, the income method can not be used.

7. Photographs of you and the spouse outside the home with the house number visible, and throughout the home.

8. 2x passport sized (4cm by 6cm) photos.

9. A processing fee of 2,000 THB.

For Bangkok Immigration, you need AT LEAST 15 days remaining on your existing “admitted to” stamp.

..... for the past 7 years at CW. My wife and I have never got an “updated Kor Ror 2 “ from the local ampur . Is this a new requirement this year ? Thanks Benjamin .

some immigration offices have been asking for it, sadly. It's only 20THB, and issued on the spot:)
