Hello, I tried to research what Thai elite visa would be applicable for a single person with a baby.

The family one is for 2 adults 🧐

Maybe someone here knows.

Thanks for your help

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the appropriate Thai Elite visa for a single parent with a baby, noting that family options typically require two adults. Community responses suggest contacting the Thai Elite customer service for guidance. Some users mention the possibility of obtaining a dependent visa for the baby or an education visa when the child is older. Concern is expressed about the implications of overstaying, particularly regarding future visa eligibility and travel complications.

The easy answer is to CALL the thai elite company and ask them yourself

, they speak english just fine.

Good Luck

Just get elite for yourself for 5, 10 or 20 years..... Don't need a visa for a baby or child. ;)

As far as I know, that is not correct. There is no penalties for children under 15. I believe that includes fines or overstay stamps. So in other words a child does not need a visa at all until 15.

Baby or child, every foreigner need visa. They are not fined doesn't mean they are staying Thailand legally. Their passport would get big fat overstay stamp.

You can add additional family members to it. Not a good idea to overstay because then they can’t get elite visa or denied visas from some consulates in future

For minors who are less then 15 years old?

@Barry *****
yes. That’s what I thought 💭

Just to make sure though, do you have any overstay stamps in your entry history? If you do, you will not qualify for the elite visa.

@Benjamin *****
That is not correct information. They can accept one overstay, but not two or more, for the Elite visa.

Thanks for the advice. But what if I leave the country and come back - because I have a valid visa - will I get in trouble for my son? That’s another concern I have besides the „crime“. For some of his vaccinations I need to go back to Europe - will we be able to enter after he has overstay stamps in his pp?

Technically, you're right, going on overstay IS a crime. However, the fee is waived for children under 15, and I don't think they can get deported until they are 18. I also know a lot of immigration offices say to keep the child on overstay as well.

However, if you are a responsible parent (which I'm sure you are), as soon as the baby turns 4, you should enroll him in an international school, and those schools offer ED visas to children.

Yer I'd go with Benjamin's final suggestion, sort your visa out and let kiddo overstay.

Thank you! I’ll go for the salesgroup one 😀

It also looks like they have an online "fill this form in and we'll get back to you" on the bottom of the link as well. Remember, they are salespeople, and they want to make the sale.

I also don't know what "a baby" is, however if I was a betting man, I would assume you can either get a dependent visa for the baby, OR an education visa (best option, they are given with the international schools), OR just let the child go on overstay until s/he's 15.

Thai Elite has family packages. Go on overstay till she/he is 15 seems a little risky :-)

Did you try contact the Thai elite people yet? They are the ones who would know best, and they have a multi-lingual helpline.
