Just a quick heads-up for anyone entering on a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa):
Make sure to double-check the visa stamp in your passport at immigration!
Yesterday, the officer accidentally put the wrong stamp in mine — a regular tourist visa instead of the DTV. I caught it right away, went back, and she was super nice about it and fixed it immediately.
I think they’re just so used to stamping tourist visas that it can happen by mistake. Easy to miss if you’re in a rush, so better to check before you leave the counter!

TLDR : Answer Summary
It is crucial to check the visa stamp in your passport immediately upon entering Thailand with a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV). There have been incidents where immigration officers mistakenly stamp the wrong visa type, such as a regular tourist visa instead of the DTV. Promptly addressing any errors can help avoid complications later, like overstaying. This concern applies to all who enter Thailand, emphasizing the need for diligence at the immigration counter.
where have you seen this requirement ? It's not even written in the email you receive. If it was that important it would be written in the email and on the visa.
Those are 3 examples of printing out the DTV Visa when you receive it. There are other Thai Embassies and Consulates which likewise have this posted on their websites for the DTV visa.
Anonymous participant So you showed them the visa on your phone initially before getting the wrong stamp? Or only showed it after you went back to get the stamp corrected?
I showed before my phone and all the info is already in the system. Good if you print all your boarding passes. I always show my phone. The world is going paperless. I don't see the need here of printing it
Happened to me and never look at passport ....leave 78 days later..they go ..overstay ...I gone ..why ...I took passport back and showed my DTV sticker...they fixed it for me .
